What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
Tax dollars need to go to public schools. Incentives to private schools need to require the same education guidelines as public schools.
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
North Dakota's present voting methods are excellent and need to continue.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
Federal government is to support state'a rights. This is paramount unless the state does not support the basic rights of citizens.

What are your top priorities?
1. Building Successful Generations - regional/state workforce solutions, affordable housing, data centers/projects oversight, empower parents to parent, education & public safety.
2. Taxpayer Relief- ways for all to hold onto their hard-earned money. Fiscal responsibility - decrease regulations, review state investment programs/policies.
3. Caring for Our Neighbors: Every Life is Precious - conception to natural death, compassionate alternatives for mental health/addictions/homelessness.
How would you ensure that North Dakotans’ healthcare costs are affordable?
Examine and work to reduce government regulations to decrease costs by hearing from individuals and partnering with healthcare provider systems, as well as state & federal insurance entities to achieve affordable health care. Ensure cost savings for lower prescription drug prices, medical equipment, and reduced service fees are passed onto the consumers/users. Examine the health savings account concept for viability.
How would you address the housing needs of the state?
Abolish property taxes and work to limit special assessments to ensure property owners can retain and maintain their homes.
Affordable housing - decrease burdensome regulations, strengthen supply chains, and promote skilled construction careers.
Seek to establish a study commission to conduct a needs-based assessment with the aim of determining who is affected, what the issues are, where the problems may exist, and why ND may or may not have common issues concerning housing needs.
What is your position on allowing public funds to be directed to non-public education?
School voucher programs, school choice, micro schools, and homeschooling ideas ought to be thoroughly studied to ensure children are educated in ways that best meet their needs. However, education alternatives cannot result in empty public schools already funded by state and local taxes.
Raising property taxes to fund multiple schooling options cannot be the solution, nor should increasing taxation through other mechanisms be used to run both existing schools and alternative options.
What are your views on the current voting methods and access to voting in North Dakota?
Voter access does not appear to be a problem in ND. In addition, this organization and many others are working collaboratively to assist voters in registering, understanding ballots, and getting out to vote.
What is the role of the federal government regarding states’ rights, and are there currently any areas where you believe there is an imbalance?
States should be free to exercise their rights within the confines of the federal law. Federal laws cannot be supplanted by state laws. The welfare and safety of the citizens must be primary. Therefore, both the federal and state governments share in governing the citizens as well as funding many initiatives; as such, the state of ND ought to cooperate with the federal government by working together with its federally elected representatives.
