Reducing the cost of the "Cares Campus" it is serving out of state and out of county people on Washoe County Taxpayers. Public Safety/First Responders to keep tax paying public safe. All physical infrastructure must be completed by developers to reduce cost to existing taxpayers and roads must be completed prior to development. Retro fitting is more costly and time wasting for Taxpayers.

The policies and initiatives have been addressed, and Nevada recently introduced an initiative grant for affordable housing. Warehouses vacant for over a year should be repurposed to help solve this issue.

Most residents follow laws enforced actively, such as car registration, insurance, speeding, reckless driving, and shoplifting, yet enforcement has been lacking in recent years. Increased funding for enforcement and prosecution is needed. Offenders should face improved consequences beyond jail and make restitution to society. Maybe mandatory public service

The County’s top budget priorities should focus on core services and long-term stability. Public safety comes first—fully funding law enforcement, fire, and emergency response. Next is infrastructure, using a “fix it first” approach to roads, drainage, and existing systems. Water, sewer, and growth must align with the Truckee Meadows Regional Plan, Washoe County's Master Plan, Area Plans and NRS 278, ensuring growth pays for itself. Homeless services should be outcome-driven and accountable. We need to stop giving Hand Outs and focus on Hand Ups with acountability. Support for seniors and vulnerable residents helps maintain independence. Finally, strong fiscal discipline and reserves protect taxpayers and ensure stability during downturns.

I support stronger coordination between agencies and expanding behavioral health response teams to handle crisis calls more effectively. Public safety also requires accountability—data-driven decisions, transparency, and measurable results. My commitment is simple: safe neighborhoods, strong support for those who serve, and leadership that puts residents first. I believe a lot more can be done for all parties involved. And every dollar must be spent wisely and transparently, with clear accountability to taxpayers.

I support accessory dwelling units and multigenerational housing options that help families stay together and seniors age in place. Growth must be planned responsibly, with infrastructure capacity considered upfront so costs aren't pushed onto existing residents. And targeted support for seniors and people with disabilities facing housing instability, through nonprofit partnerships and early intervention programs, is essential.

Public safety starts with supporting our first responders. That means adequate staffing and the resources deputies, fire, and emergency personnel need to do their jobs well. Addressing homelessness and mental health is inseparable from public safety. The CARES campus needs a robust audit, Mobile Mental Health Support Teams, early intervention programs, and connecting people to services reduces strain on law enforcement and makes communities safer for everyone. I also support stronger community policing efforts that build trust between residents and law enforcement, and investment in rural emergency response capacity, which has been stretched thin across District 5's 5,800+ square miles. Prevention is as important as response.
