Public Safety needs to be a top priority to protect our homes, schools, businesses and communities.

We need to work with the federal government, county and cities to identify lands that can be released at little to no cost to spur investment for affordable housing.

We need to support our law enforcement so they can do the job of protecting our communities for which they have been trained to do. We need to make sure our courts follow the penalties prescribed by the legislature to hold criminals accountable.

My priorities are: Housing, Hunger, Healthcare, and Homelessness. As our county grows, we must ensure no neighbor is left behind. We need to prioritize: Food Security: Connecting people in food deserts to fresh, reliable nutrition. Smart Infrastructure: Investing in sustainable water management, reliable public transit, and high-speed internet to ensure our services keep pace with our rapid growth. Humanity-First Services: Funding programs that treat every person with dignity and provide an actual safety net. A budget shows what we value. I want to see a focus on direct services and less administrative bloat. By putting our people first, we can create a county that feels like a true community for all.

Housing is about safety, stability, and dignity. We need to ensure our most vulnerable neighbors have a roof over their heads and the support services they need to survive and thrive. We must protect our current neighborhoods from corporate investors that artificially drive up values. We must hold developers accountable for providing affordable units, ensuring our workers have the option to live in the neighborhoods they serve. I will advocate for protecting and expanding affordable housing and simplifying the path to homeownership for first-time buyers through tools like our county’s Community Land Trust. By always treating housing as a human right, we ensure that everyone can afford to put down roots and build a future in Clark County.

Public safety is vital to our community AND economy. I believe in a humanity-centered approach: connecting neighbors in a mental health crisis with trained professionals, and not just a badge. This removes a heavy burden from our police, allowing them to focus on what they do best: preventing and solving serious crime. I am a big believer in community policing because trust must be built face-to-face on our sidewalks.

Safety is also paramount to our tourism industry. We need to remain a world-class destination by ensuring everyone feels protected and at home, regardless of how long they stay. By leading with respect and giving our first responders the support they need, we keep Clark County safe and welcoming for all.

I believe that at this moment affordability is the number one issue in District F, and across Nevada. In my time on the campaign trail I have heard time and again from District F residents who are doing everything right, and still struggling to make ends meet.

We need to invest in creating new, good-paying jobs, and continue to support skills based training and apprenticeship programs while looking for opportunities to bring new businesses into District F.

I would also prioritize protecting the services that the people of Clark County rely on every day - critical services like police, fire, and health care workers already struggle with staffing. Clark County residents should not need to live with fewer services if we can avoid it.

Now more than ever it is critical that we are doing everything we can to increase the supply of affordable housing, and lowering prices for working class families.

We must continue to support programs like Clark County’s Welcome Home Community Housing Fund Initiative, as well as the County’s new Community Land Trust.

Additionally, we need to work with our partners in the federal delegation to advocate for and pass the Clark County Lands Bill. This bill would help unlock additional land for developing the housing we need, while maintaining a balance that respects our environment and public lands.

It also means limiting corporate home ownership - working class families shouldn’t have to bid against hedge funds to find a place to live.

I am a longstanding advocate for public safety - it's an issue that's deeply personal for me. My husband, LVMPD Lieutenant Erik Lloyd, honorably served our community for 29 years and died in the line of duty in 2021.

Whether it's my work founding Bamboo Bridges to protect victims of human trafficking and domestic violence, or my work on the boards of StopDUI and the Injured Police Officers Fund, I am passionate about the safety of our community.

Beyond that, I recognize that Clark County's roads often feel like race tracks - we have some of the worst pedestrian safety numbers in the Country. We need to implement common-sense traffic safety measures, and step up enforcement of existing laws - especially in school zones.

The county’s top budget priorities should focus on core services that reduce long-term costs and improve quality of life. First, I would integrate public safety with behavioral health by investing in mental health services, homelessness response, and substance use treatment so we prevent crises instead of repeatedly responding to them. Second, I would prioritize housing affordability as it impacts public safety, education outcomes (homelessness among youth), workforce retention, and emergency services. Third, I would invest in modern public transportation, including light rail and expanded bus service. These investments can be supported through strategic reallocation, federal and state grants, and public-private partnerships.

I would pursue a strategy that increases supply, reduces delays, and expands housing choices while respecting neighborhood context and engaging residents in the planning process. First, I would remove zoning barriers to allow smaller, more affordable homes and “missing middle” housing such as townhomes for first-time buyers and young families. Second, I would eliminate wasteful parking minimum requirements, especially near transit corridors, to maximize land use efficiency. Third, I would increase allowable lot coverage and reduce setback restrictions where appropriate. Fourth, I would prioritize transit-oriented development and housing near transit corridors. Finally, I would redevelop underutilized land and vacant properties into housing.

Our current system stretches first responders too thin, asking them to handle mental health and homelessness crises instead of focusing on emergencies and serious crime. I will fund and scale teams of mental health professionals and paramedics to respond to non-violent calls. This strengthens, not replaces, law enforcement by allowing officers to focus on high-priority incidents.

I will also apply proven safety urban design principles such as better lighting, clear sightlines, and active public spaces to prevent crime. I will work to redesign dangerous streets to improve road safety. Finally, I will invest in community-based violence prevention, including after-school programs and youth job initiatives, to break cycles of violence.
