What should a Brookline resident most understand about the duties of an elected constable and what are your qualifications?
The most important responsibilities of a Constable are to serve legal documents accurately, professionally, and with respect for all parties involved. This includes maintaining confidentiality, ensuring proper documentation, and adhering to all legal requirements. I approach this role with professionalism and empathy, recognizing that many situations involve sensitive circumstances. I have served as a Brookline Constable since 2012 and previously served as a Constable in Somerville (appointed three times). I have successfully served over 4,500 notices in Brookline and over 9,300 notices throughout Eastern Massachusetts. My experience includes serving eviction notices, subpoenas, and other legal documents in a professional and respectful manner. I understand the importance of discretion, accuracy, and timeliness in this role.
