The School Committee has nine members who oversee the entire Worcester Public Schools system. They set educational goals and policies, review and approve budgets, hire the superintendent, and conduct collective bargaining with all employee organizations. They also engage with the community, address concerns, and collaborate with stakeholders to support students and staff. All school committee members are elected for two year terms and are paid for their service. This race is for the two “at-large” members who are elected by all voters across the city.
