In an increasingly polarizing climate, it is paramount to protect and advance freedom of speech on college campuses, particularly regarding activism among university students. I would commit to creating and supporting legislation that protects students and upholds their constitutional rights. Second, I propose a temporary cap on all rent increases across the state to stabilize costs and support regulations on private equity and investment firms from buying up houses and pricing out first-time home-buyers. Third, to support New Jersey’s goal of reaching 100% clean energy by 2035, I would commit to supporting important legislation including the Climate Superfund Act and the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act to lay the crucial groundwork for a sustainable environment. Lastly, as a current small business owner, I would support legislation to create a Small Business Regulatory Review Board to expedite compliance procedures, and introducing a New Jersey Small Business Growth Fund

For high school students, I support investing in robust civics curricula that teach the basics of government operations, critical thinking, media literacy, and debate competency. For university students, I believe universities have a duty to allow students to exercise their First Amendment rights by organizing, protesting, speaking, & engaging with challenging or controversial ideas without fear of retaliation or censorship.

We also need to reform & strengthen voting rights for all NJ residents, particularly marginalized groups. As an Assemblyman, I would support same-day voter registration, expand voting rights to 17-year olds to vote in local BoE elections as was done in Newark, & support the Voter Empowerment Act. I also believe we must address the issue of ballot design in NJ and build on the success of Senator Andy Kim’s lawsuit to remove the “County Line.” We should have fairer elections where the political establishment can not tip the scales for their chosen candidates.

Housing stability is a key factor in both economic resilience and community health, and a temporary cap on rent increases would give families the opportunity to recover from the pressure of inflation and tariffs. In addition, I would continue supporting the ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Program and advocate for increased funding to expand its reach. Property taxes are one of the largest expenses for New Jersey residents, and this program offers crucial assistance that can help keep families in their homes and reduce financial strain.

On the small business front, I would propose the creation of a Small Business Regulatory Review Board to evaluate the impact of state regulations on small enterprises. This board would provide recommendations to reduce unnecessary red tape while maintaining strong labor and environmental protections. I would push to expand the criteria for the NJ Business Tax Credit Program to include more emerging industries and underrepresented business owners.

Public education is the foundation of a strong and equitable society & deserves the funding & support necessary to provide access to a high-quality education that prepares them for university and beyond.

I would advocate for increased state funding for public schools, ensuring that resources are distributed based on need. Too often, schools in underserved communities struggle with outdated materials, overcrowded classrooms, & underpaid staff. By supporting funding initiatives that direct more resources to schools serving low-income & marginalized communities, we can begin to close these gaps & offer equitable standing for all students.

I also believe strongly in expanding access to life-skills education that empowers students with the tools they need to thrive. I would support initiatives & subsidies for programs that bring home economics, financial literacy, mental health education, & recreational classes back into our public schools.

Immigrants have long been a cornerstone of New Jersey’s economic, cultural, and social communities, and our policies must reflect their vital role in our state.

One of my top priorities would be working to protect immigrants from unjust enforcement actions by agencies such as ICE. I would support legislation that limits local cooperation with ICE and strengthens New Jersey’s status as a safe state. Policies like the NJ Immigrant Trust Directive must not only be upheld but codified into law to ensure long-term sustainability.

From providing access to driver’s licenses and healthcare to ensuring language accessibility in public services, I would support policies that empower immigrants to fully participate in civic life. I also support fully funding the Defense & Deportation Initiative, which ensures immigrants facing legal challenges have access to representation and support. My approach to immigration policy centers on justice, equity, and community.
