What skills and experience, including prior board experience, do you bring to the position?

In my life I have had numerous different job titles, Office Manager for a Psychiatrist, various customer service positions and lastly Cosmetologist. I have run my own business as well as help others open and establish theirs. I have been attending the fire board meetings monthly since 12/23 (I had to attended 3 virtually due to illness) and the last budget meeting (5/24) so I am pretty up to date on most of the issues occurring in our district.

What do you see as the top priorities for the District, and how would you achieve them?

I think the main priorities for this District is recruiting. We have a high number of volunteers, however since we are primarily a volunteer department, our volunteers have other responsibilities also, work, family schooling, etc. so having more is always a good thing.

How do you understand the board’s role in relation to that of the fire chief?

My understanding is the board is there to advise the fire chief and help establish and enforce rules and regulations.
