I will advocate for increased funding, expanded financial aid, and reduced tuition to ease financial burdens. I aim to strengthen student support services like advising, tutoring, and mental health care. I’ll promote a diverse, inclusive campus culture where every student feels valued. I’ll build stronger community partnerships to expand career opportunities. Finally, I’ll work to eliminate food insecurity so no student has to choose between education and basic needs.

I bring a unique blend of leadership, community service, and hands-on experience to the LBCC Board of Education. As a Paid Leave Oregon Public Service Representative and Finance Director at South Benton Food Pantry, I’ve developed strong fiscal management skills. My leadership as LBCC Student Leadership Council President and Oregon Higher Education Commissioner reflects my commitment to student success and inclusivity. With my background in emergency response and grant writing, I am well-equipped to advocate for resources and support, ensuring all students have what they need to thrive.

I would balance resources between Career and Technical Education (CTE) and transfer preparation programs by assessing current needs and engaging with students and faculty. I would advocate for increased funding for CTE to ensure students gain essential workforce skills while strengthening transfer programs to support smooth transitions to four-year institutions. This includes improving advising, expanding transfer courses, and increasing support for transfer students. By fostering partnerships with local businesses and universities, I aim to ensure all students, whether pursuing careers or further education, have the resources to succeed.

I bring a unique combination of experience and perspective to the trustee role, shaped by five years of service on LBCC’s Foundation Board where I witnessed the college’s mission in action. As a senior management executive, I’ve developed strong business acumen and financial oversight skills-critical for effective board governance. My board experience spans nonprofit, government, and professional associations, providing me with a well-rounded understanding of organizational dynamics and accountability. Additionally, I hold licenses in life, health, property, and casualty insurance, positioning me as a strong contributor to the Audit & Professional Services Committee, particularly in areas related to insurance, risk management, & compliance.
