As a mother of five in Beaverton schools (Westview, Five Oaks, Arco Iris), I understand firsthand how vital strong schools and community collaboration are for our kids to thrive.

With a Master’s in Public Administration and a passion for the arts as a violinist, I bring practical experience and creative perspective. I’ve served 5 years on the board at Arco Iris Spanish Immersion School, currently as Chair of Development & Community Relations—leading efforts to strengthen school-community ties and financial sustainability.

School Board Directors oversee educational policy and ensure compliance with both state and federal education laws. In the case that district priorities appear to conflict with state or federal policy, this is a time for board members to proactively listen to and engage with the community, hearing diverse perspectives and being transparent in the decision-making process. Ultimately, the goal should always be to find solutions that prioritize the well-being and success of our students and to ensure that they receive the daily support they need to thrive now and in the future.

My priorities:

STUDENTS FIRST – Every policy, curriculum, and budget decision will focus on what’s best for students. FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY – I’ll promote accountability and smart use of taxpayer resources. INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP – I’ll listen to and respect all points of view to build a stronger community.

As a dedicated 15-year resident of Beaverton, parent, and a seasoned professional at Fortune 100 companies, I bring a unique blend of community passion and industry expertise to the table.

I have a proven track record shaping local housing and climate policy with the City of Beaverton and Washington County. I can’t wait to bring this experience to the Beaverton school Board and fight the future of our students and community.

With years of experience as a community advocate and coalition builder, I’ll work to unite our community to the Board—because every student deserves an education that prepares them for a changing world.

I will always fight for our students’ voices and dreams and work to partner and understand the federal administration and policies. In the current climate of uncertainty, I will work closely with the State & District leadership proactively to fortify our programming and services to bridge any gaps that may be created by the Federal Government’s decisions.

The District has a legal obligation to help facilitate federal & state laws. These include policies such as Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) which is focused on ensuring the needs of students with disabilities are met to provide comprehensive education. These essential programs focus on supporting low-income students, teacher development and creating safe spaces.

Our School District has one of the highest percentages of students experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. We must shift our paradigm towards one of accountability, transparency and shared decision making where we govern in partnership with teachers, parents, students, community and all.

We know our communities’ trust in our school systems and structures is declining, so I will actively listen to the concerns of our community and work together with everyone in our community to rebuild trust.

We know that the climate around us continues to be disruptive to all of us. We must fight for our students' futures. I will center youth and reorient our schools to prioritize climate informed policies, empowering our students in the process
