What skills and experience, including prior board experience, would you bring to this position?

My experience is as someone who woke up at 5am every morning to walk to my job in Mills. My experience is as someone who has sat on church budgetary meetings and currently uses the bus service.

For the last 2 years I have worked with people at my church to provide meals to my local community. I believe I can bring that spirit of public service to the council.

What do you see as the current gaps in transportation service in the District?

It is impossible to use this service as your primary means of transport if your goal is to have a job or raise a family. Even attending college extracurriculars is difficult. We also arent serving rural areas enough.

If we increased frequency, people could use the bus to explore Klamath Falls. Currently a stop only sees a bus once every hour or so. If we ran busses every 20 minutes, people would use the service as a preferred means of transportation and not one of last resort.

What should the District be doing to ensure compliance with public records and public input laws?

They need to pass an audit for one. They also need to be better about informing the public meeting times. In February the council cancelled their meeting the day of without informing the public. This is not acceptable.

Im sure plenty of people call in every month to suggest improvements. The employee on the phone should be taking those comments down and presenting them to the council.
