Please describe your priorities for your term in office.

My priority is to serve my neighbors, the community of the Town of Coldspring. I would like to see increased transparency and access for citizens to the local decisionmaking process. I will reach out to citizens and make sure that they are made aware of pressing matters and are afforded voice and invited to participate in local decisions.

What would you do to promote civility and cooperative problem-solving in your community?

I will work hard to ensure that citizens have the opportunity to express themselves and share views so that community voices have a seat at the table when important decisions are made.

Transparency needs to be a top priority, with increased access and information for our citizens. Decisions should be made that are in the public interest and will serve the community long term.

We need to do a better job of informing the community and inviting them to the table. Decisions should be made with input from our people. It's that simple. I will work hard to build those relationships and connections so people feel heard and connected.

That is my main concern and what I will work hard to achieve as a member of the town leadership.

What is the most pressing social service issue facing your community and what should your local government do about it?

Access to mental health services has been identified by the Jefferson County Health Services as a focus area to improve the lives of our citizens in Jefferson County.

Our local government should be advocating to have increased access to those services through the school district and existing structures at the County level.

In addition we should be making sure that our seniors have access to transportation and awareness of county services that might be available to help them if needed.

In general, we need to work to network and strengthen our already strong community to face the challenges ahead together.

I do not believe the Whitewater Solar Project to be in the public interest and I will continue to fight to stop this project.
