Please share why you have chosen to run for the Little Chute School Board.
I'm running for LC School Board to fill the absence of a current member who has chosen not to seek reelection. I feel my experience of working in many local school districts will help me continue the excellence that already exists with the LC School Board.
What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of the Little Chute Area School District?
The LCSD is a close community. The LCSD has great leadership in Administration. They have people who like to step up and make the district better. These are just a few of the strengths that the LCSD has. As far as weaknesses are concerned, there isn't many but, we need to continue to the listen to the stakeholders and always keep them in mind when making important decisions for our children, students, and teachers.
What approach do you propose for the Little Chute Area School District to attract and retain qualified, effective teachers?
The district needs to continue to seek qualified teachers and offer competitive employment offers which is very comparable/exceeding to other local school districts. Candidates that can offer multiple services should be compensated for those services. (I.E Extra Curricular Activities)
What are your thoughts on the curriculum development process and assuring that curricula are culturally responsive and inclusive?
The curriculum development process is always a work in progress. Knowing the demographics of our students and teachers helps the district keep the curricula responsive to the wants and needs of the district.
Please respond with your thoughts on and commitment to the LCASD "Blueprint for Brilliance".
Working together as a board with varying levels of expertise and experience provides excellent "groundwork" to continue on the LCASD Blueprint for Brilliance.
