Budget: How would you prioritize school budget spending for staff and facilities?

Prioritizing budgets for staff and facilities should focus on maximizing student outcomes and creating a safe, optimal learning environment. Investing in teachers and support staff, who directly impact student success, is top priority. However, this should not compromise maintaining and improving the learning environment, including modern classrooms, technology, and extracurricular spaces.

Charter Schools: What do you see as the role of charter schools in public education?

Charter schools can play a unique role in public education by offering alternative models that foster innovation in teaching, curricula, and collaboration. Tailoring their approaches to student needs, they can become hubs of innovation. They must be held to the same standards as traditional schools regarding performance, complement public education, and contribute to maximizing student achievement

School libraries are vital for student development and require a clear, transparent book selection process. This process should be inclusive, allowing parents to voice suggestions and concerns. Ultimately, educators should make the final decisions to ensure alignment with educational goals and to include diverse topics and perspectives that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
