Campaign Statement As a 22-year Hayden resident, a wife, a mother, and a conservative, I am deeply concerned about the direction of our community. The current Republican Central Committee is not holding leaders accountable for responsible leadership or spending. We need to bring civility and accountability back to local politics and stop the name-calling and in-fighting. I believe there is more that unites us than divides us and want to help bring collaboration and servant leadership back to our local Republican Central Committee.

Have you ever served as a Precinct Committeeman?

No, but I have previously attended central committee meetings and understand the role of a committeeman well. I spent ten years working directly for local elected officials and interacting with our legislators, giving me additional insight into the importance of the work done by our central committee. I have served on and supported many boards, committees, and commissions and have the skills to effectively represent my precinct. Also, unlike my opponent, I have no conflicts that would prohibit me from attending the required monthly meetings of the Central Committee.

What do you think are the most important priorities as a Precinct Committeeman?

I believe the primary responsibility of all Precinct Committeemen is to uphold traditional conservative values, such as those outlined in the National Republican Platform. As representatives, it is our job to identify qualified candidates to run for office in North Idaho, to support those Republicans serving in elected positions, and to keep other Republicans in our precinct informed about the activities and funding of the Central Committee. This work must be done without a personal agenda but as a concerted effort to represent the voice and desires of our conservative neighbors with regard to the direction of our community. Attending all meetings, staying informed, and actively participating in all committee activities is critical.

How long have you been a voter in Kootenai County?

I have been a voter in Kootenai County for 22 years.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the voters?

I am tired of name-calling and personal attacks in politics. I believe all elected officials should be civil, honest, responsible, and qualified. As a Certified Public Manager with public service and board volunteer experience, I am qualified for this position. As an NIC alumni and a library patron, I am frustrated with 'rated and vetted' candidates who have become elected officials only to put our public institutions at risk and waste money. As a mother whose children can't afford to buy a home here, I have an interest in supporting local leaders who are more interested in solving problems than creating partisan divide and playing political games. I would be proud to serve as your representative and would appreciate your vote on May 21st!

Have you ever served as a Precinct Committeeman?

I’ve served one term as Precinct Committeeman for 318. I was the first person to apply for Precinct 318 after Precinct 18 was redistricted. I also helped to walk Precinct 18 in previous elections.

What do you think are the most important priorities as a Precinct Committeeman?

A Precinct Committeeman (PC) is an elected official who represents you and your neighbors on the county’s Republican central committee so they should share your values as a Republican Party voter as closely as possible. A PC should vote on policies and resolutions at monthly committee meetings, help recruit and recommend candidates, and also deliver election information directly to Republican voters.

How long have you been a voter in Kootenai County?

I registered to vote in Kootenai County on October 8, 2014. Registering to vote was one of the first things I did when I moved to the area almost 10 years ago.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the voters?

A little bit about me: My husband, Alan, and I have been married for 43 years. We have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. We moved to Hayden almost 10 years ago. I’ve helped in previous elections by working the polls and supporting candidates I believe in. I currently serve you as Precinct Committeeman in 318 and also serve on the Hayden City Council. One of my duties as Precinct Committeeman was to participate in the March 2, 2024 caucus planning. I coordinated 55 volunteers to run the Republican Presidential Caucus for 6 precincts at Grace Bible Church. I support the Idaho Republican Party Platform (idgop.org).
