Have you ever served as a Precinct Committeeman?

I have been serving as a PC for the past year. Prior to that, I assisted the PC with helping to get information out to our precinct. At one point, we sent out information to the entire precinct, no matter the political affiliation, in order for everyone to be aware of an election and what current issues would be on the ballot. I encourage the people in my precinct to ask questions, talk to candidates, and seek facts.

What do you think are the most important priorities as a Precinct Committeeman?

A precinct committeeman is the foundation for the political party that they represent. I believe it is the responsibility of the PC to keep the people in their precinct informed of upcoming elections, issues that will be on the ballots, and hopefully, inspiring others to get involved. PCs should be talking to all the candidates, attending forums, and stay aware and engaged with current city and county issues. PCs should be available to assist people in their precincts with issues and concerns that arise, and help direct them or connect them to those that can provide answers and solutions.

How long have you been a voter in Kootenai County?

I have been a registered voter in Kootenai County for 8 years.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the voters?

While a PC is the ground-level, it is the foundation for everything we stand for and believe in. I stand for our Constitution, our state Republican Platform, and for our freedoms that are guaranteed in both. I have fought against higher taxes and bigger government. I have fought for keeping our elected officials elected. As an official delegate to the Republican State Convention, I served on the Platform Committee creating an even stronger, conservative platform. All of this is my way of volunteering and giving back to our community. I hope to continue to do so as precinct committeewoman for precinct #313. I humbly ask for your vote. Thank you for this opportunity!

Have you ever served as a Precinct Committeeman?

Yes. As a Young Republican, I served as a Precinct Committeeman in Muscatine, Iowa.

What do you think are the most important priorities as a Precinct Committeeman?

An effective Precinct Committeeman should represent the conservative views of Republicans, actively participate in Central Committee responsibilities, and work to elect Republican candidates in general elections. I understand the role and duties of precinct committeemen and will be a voice of reason in performing my job.

How long have you been a voter in Kootenai County?

I have been an active voter in Kootenai County since moving here in 1985.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the voters?

I bring decades of community and statewide service to the table. Over the years, I have served on boards of several non-profit organizations, including EXCEL Foundation, Hospice, United Way, Chamber of Commerce, Kootenai Health Foundation, Idaho Community Foundation, and Coeur d’Alene Rotary. I was elected to the Board of Trustees for North Idaho College and was subsequently appointed to the Idaho State Board of Education. I currently serve on the North Idaho College Foundation Board. I was very involved in Coeur d’Alene winning a $65 million grant from the Salvation Army to build the Kroc Center and am a Life Member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board. My husband Tom and I are proud parents of three children and six grandchildren.
