Have the citizens become aware of what is going on at all times, the county commissioners should be committed to the citizens to keep them informed. Encourage the citizens to become involved if they do not like the way things are going encourage them to run for office!

What do you hope to accomplish if elected? (Please list up to three priorities.)

I desire to work with the community as a whole and come up with a solutions for some of the difficult issues facing Kootenai County. I want to preserve local values. I want to make sure and make fiscally responsible decisions. I also want to make sure that we limit government, and we are transparent with the community by whom we were elected by.

What experiences do you bring to effectively serve as a Kootenai County Commissioner?

From 2009 to 2014, I helped a business grow exponentially, financially and with healthy staff across the nation. I’ve also been on two financial boards for over 10 years, dealing with budgets and administration, and an additional two boards within the last year, dealing with the same issues. Being a pastor, and dealing with managing personalities and peoples abilities, gives me a unique experience and qualification to effectively do the tasks of a county commissioner.

What measures can Kootenai County Commissioners take to protect North Idaho College and Community Library Network?

I’m not aware of any authority that the commissioners have to intervene in those areas. Although, I personally would be willing to mediate and help unify both of those boards, whether I am elected or not. There are two opposing views at war with each other, and instead of communicating within healthy boundaries and hearing each other out, it has been very explosive. It is damaging our community drastically so whatever it takes to redeem that, with in the bounds of the law, I am willing to look at.

Is there anything else you would like to tell the voters?

I believe elected officials have quickly turned into politicians once elected, and are partially responsible for damaging our beautiful community! My heart is to represent the people of Kootenai County, and make sure the communities voice is always being heard when decisions are being made. I will continue to serve the people, and I will serve them well. I will be available, and willing to listen to everybody’s point of view, and take things into consideration before making decisions. The taxpayers need to be the number one party represented by the commissioners.
