1. What do you hope to accomplish if elected?
I have been working hard the last few years to improve mental health and the justice system. When reelected I will continue to improve the mental health system, continue to improve the justice system, and continue to support Idaho infrastructure, and education systems of K-12 education, higher education, and career and technical education. I will continue to listen to the voice of the people and take time to engage with them and put them ahead of politics as I have always done. I truly support people over politics. My voting record has proven that. I love to serve and enjoy making a difference. My whole life has reflected those values and I will continue to reflect those values in my legislative service to the citizens of Idaho.
2. What experience has prepared you for this office?
I have a masters degree in psychology which has helped me immensely in my work in the legislature. I have used my skills and knowledge many times to improve policy, and to help block poor policy. I am uniquely qualified as the only mental health professional in the legislature currently, and the only one to have been a local provider, agency owner, State government employee, and legislator addressing health care. My background helps me have eclectic skills that are useful for the legislature. I have a strong work ethic and relational skills that help me optimize my skills as a legislator and get support from all of my peers rather quickly. I am known as the expert on mental health and my peers often refer others to me to help them.
3. What do you see as the most significant challenges Idaho faces that you might be able to address in this position?
I am a healthcare policy expert and work heavily to protect healthcare services, and improve systems when needed to help save money to the State and the consumers, and continue to get the best quality of care. I was invited to Washington D.C last year to work with fellow republicans in congress to address national health care policy, Medicaid, and help identify innovative ways to improve health care. I was honored to be recognized as an expert. Some leaders wish to destroy our education system, and health care options in Idaho which would reduce the number of care professionals and ability to serve the public's health. As the current Vice Chairman of the health and welfare committee I will fight that the essential services continue.
4. Would you support legislation to remove criminal liability for physicians and pregnant women experiencing life threatening pregnancy complications and allow for medical and family decisions regarding continuation of that pregnancy. Please explain your response.
Yes. In fact I have helped with legislation to fix the issue, but have been denied the ability to get hearings for the past 2 years. There are certain leaders in Idaho who do not desire the change, or allow special interest groups to set the policy rather than legislators. I stand up for women's rights and have been a rather loud voice in opposition to the criminal liability for physicians and their staff. I have also attended several meetings with women in my district and have heard their concerns loud and clear and will continue to fight to get them quality healthcare.

I have more work to do. I will continue to serve you well, and use my expertise to make a difference in all Idahoan's lives, and continue to make positive impacts that help build Idaho's future and better the lives of all future generations. I appreciate the ability to serve you.
