1. What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

1. Give greater educational opportunities to Idaho Students. Fill every Idaho job with a trained, skilled and educated Idahoan. 2. Expand international exposer for Idaho Farm products. 3. Build an environment where businesses can flourish, and Government regulations and red tape is minimal. 4. Rewrite the state procurement process so that Idaho State Agencies can be more nimble, flexible and be smarter with Idaho's taxes. 5. Give parents tools that will enable them to restrict pornography from their children if they wish.

2. What experience has prepared you for this office?

I am a Software Engineer. As such I have had to learn how to listen to users, ask the right questions, work to understand the real issue and problem before setting out to create an application that will resolve the issue for the user. I have learned to be a successful software engineer; you must first completely understand the problem before you start to fix it. These same skills are required to serve as a senator for Idaho citizens.

3 What do you see as the most significant challenges Idaho faces that you might be able to address in this position?

I believe the biggest challenge to Idaho is growth. For over 5 years Idaho has been one of the fastest growing states in the nation. Growth affects, traffic, roads, education, electrical grid, jobs, and city, county and state budgets. Growth is not all bad thought it has a tendency to bring in cultural events, stores, restaurants, and jobs. The key to growth is management. As a state Senator I would work to recognize the fine line of overreach of Government and strive to allow the local municipalities manage themselves.

4. Would you support legislation to remove criminal liability for physicians and pregnant women experiencing life threatening pregnancy complications and allow for medical and family decisions regarding continuation of that pregnancy? Please explain your response.

Yes, I would. I have very deep religious beliefs when it comes to abortion. I do believe there are some exceptional circumstances that may justify an abortion, such as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape, when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth. But even these circumstances do not automatically justify an abortion. Those who face such circumstances should consider abortion only after receiving a confirmation through earnest prayer.
