1. What do you hope to accomplish if elected?

I am committed to fighting for the interests of working families and small businesses in Idaho. My top priorities include ensuring fair wages and benefits, safe working conditions, and promoting economic development. I will strongly advocate for education, ensuring all children have access to quality educational opportunities and supporting programs like LAUNCH to help Idaho high school seniors pursue skilled careers. Environmental protection and the preservation of our natural resources for future generations are also key goals.

2. What experience has prepared you for this office?

My background as a labor leader and union electrician has prepared me to serve effectively in this office. I have over 30 years of experience working on the front lines, understanding firsthand the challenges and needs of working-class families. Serving on committees like the House Health and Welfare Committee and participating in legislative processes that affect Medicaid and other critical services has further equipped me to address complex policy issues.

3. What do you see as the most significant challenges Idaho faces that you might be able to address in this position?

Key challenges include maintaining and expanding access to healthcare, particularly preserving Medicaid expansion against repeated attempts to undermine it. Education funding and ensuring equitable access to quality education across districts are paramount. Economic development, especially in ways that support local businesses and workers, remains a critical area of focus.

4. Would you support legislation to remove criminal liability for physicians and pregnant women experiencing life threatening pregnancy complications and allow for medical and family decisions regarding continuation of that pregnancy. Please explain your response.

I would support legislation that removes criminal liability for physicians and pregnant women in life-threatening complications, allowing medical and family decisions regarding the continuation of pregnancy. It's crucial that medical professionals and families make these sensitive decisions without the fear of legal repercussions, ensuring that the health and well-being of patients are prioritized without undue external pressure.

5. What else would you like to tell the voters?

As your representative, I promise to put the needs of our community first. I will fight for policies that support and uplift every resident of our district, ensuring that your voices are heard and your needs are addressed. Your health, your jobs, your families, and your futures are what drive me every day. I encourage all to stay informed and engaged, and I look forward to continuing to serve you with dedication and integrity.
