Please describe two or three of your priorities, if elected, and how you will address those issues.

Collette Sorgel stands at the forefront of community development and economic growth in Oneida County, representing District #13 for Three Lakes on the Oneida County Board. Her multifaceted role extends far beyond policymaking. As a member of several influential committees including Conservation and UW-EX Education, Forestry Land and Recreation, and the Thunder Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District, Collette actively shapes the landscape of our local environment and economy. Her pivotal position on the Oneida County Economic Development Corporation (OCEDC) Board and on the Broadband Task Force is a testament to her commitment and expertise in driving the county’s economic aspirations. Collette will continue to support these committees as assigned.

How should the county board address their responsibilities with regard to health and human services?

The Oneida County Board has a skilled team working on details for our health and human services.

Please rank the three most important environmental issues the county is facing? Please explain why.

Collette strategic vision for Oneida County extends into practical engagement through her membership and/or chairmanship on various planning and natural resource committees. These platforms have enabled Collette to advocate for and implement projects focused on evasive species control/pollinator expansion, erosion control and clean water. All these projects are important to keep Oneida County environment healthy.

What do you consider the most important aspects of local infrastructure and how should federal funding be allocated?

Collette Sorgel is the Oneida County Supervisor for communication and liaison to the County Board, as a member of the OCEDC Broadband Task Force. She supports strong expansion of broadband in Oneida County to help our local infrastructure. The Broadband Taks force will be working to obtain available funding including the Broadband Equity Access and Deployment Program (BEAD).

How can the county board and individual supervisors take advantage of new avenues of communication with the community?

Collette plans to continue to support open meetings and respond to requests in a timely manner.
