Please describe two or three of your priorities, if elected, and how you will address those issues.

Develop Lincoln Co government priorities for spending Continue to investigate past funding and spending Work with County Highway Dept to assure limited resources are carefully utilized to accomplish road management at all applicable levels. Reexamine County Landfill operations, original goals and keep Landfill sustainable into long term

How should the county board address their responsibilities with regard to health and human services?

Lincoln Co has suffered significant challenges in providing services as funding priorities have continued to shrink We need to review cost of all non-mandated services and Boards, as the number of Committee's and meetings continue to expand w/o review and management

Please rank the three most important environmental issues the county is facing? Please explain why.

Maintaining status and usage of County Forests and Parks for all users. Support various groups that offer balanced use and contribution to the natural beauty and protection of County owned forests and parks Help develop new public and private development of outdoor programs that will enhance the County and keep it available and sustainable into the future.

What do you consider the most important aspects of local infrastructure and how should federal funding be allocated?

The mechanisms for transferring Federal Tax Funds to State and local use and management are often flawed. Pinecrest Nursing Home was an example, as State DHS took away $1.5 million from Supplemental Funding, forcing the County to sell the Home as growing costs eat away at County Levy. We must be mindful of the taxpayers' capacity to pay for various programs and hold State Government accountable for mismanaging passthrough funding and spending priorities. Currently, County Roads are becoming an issue as costs keep escalating. Priority must be given to safe travel throughout the County, including supporting Towns and Cities, where we are able.

How can the county board and individual supervisors take advantage of new avenues of communication with the community?

The present Board and Committed have done a much better job of following through on intended plans, than was found in past Boards. We are offering ample opportunity for questions and debate, particularly when we are faced with key spending prioritizations. Use of social media and broadcast facilities and development of Broadband infrasture are a Hallmark of this relatively new Board.
