Biographical Information

Why do you want to be an Ozaukee County Board Supervisor, and what qualifications and experience make you the best candidate?

I was born and raised in Ozaukee County. I served 2 years in the military, 9 1/2 years as the Deputy Sherriff in Ozaukee County, 2 years as an investigator in Ozaukee County, 6 years as Ozaukee County Supervisor, 33 years owing a dairy farm and small business apple orchard, and I have worked for Ozaukee County Parks and Planning for 9 years. I am known as the "orange tractor guy" to other community members. Additionally, I served 2 years on the Ozaukee County Aging and Disability board. I would like to bring autonomy, transparency, new opportunities, and security to the community. I would like constituents, employees, and myself to have the ability to interact with the community and each other within different branches of the County, not just with department hierarchies.

What are the most important issues facing Ozaukee County and how will you address them?

 Entrust that equity is a fundamental objective to the mission and values of Ozaukee County.  Assure that access to public records meets and exceeds WI statute requirements.  Establish improved measures to the community addressing safety measures for pedestrians on roadways and parks systems.  Ozaukee County provides a parks system of natural beauty and recreation. I would propose non residential compensation to assist with ongoing maintenance and services provided.  Ensure that Ozaukee County budget supports community inclusion.  Improved responsiveness of Ozaukee administration.  Support Ozaukee County Board term limits of 3 terms.

How will you keep your constituents informed of the issues and actions of the County Board?

I am very persistent, unbiased, and resourceful. I want to help all community members including but not limited to; the disabled, active military and veterans, senior citizens, students, small business owners, and families. I want transparency between the community and the departments within the community. I will always engage with my constituents, not only through email, but in person. I want to hear what the community members want and need, I want the community to succeed.
