A Constable is a licensed peace officer responsible for enforcing the law within their precinct. They often serve legal papers, such as subpoenas or eviction notices, and may assist in making arrests and maintaining order in the community. Constables also provide security for the Justice of the Peace courts. They are elected to serve four-year terms and must be licensed by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

What training, experience, and characteristics qualify you for this position?
I have over ten years of experience in law enforcement.
I have served honorably as a Sergeant with Harris County for five years, during which time I was responsible for field training and recruiting deputies.
I want to protect citizens by preventing crime, enforcing laws, apprehending suspects, and monitoring traffic.
I maintain professional and technical knowledge by studying applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances for community safety.
What are the two biggest issues facing your precinct and how will you address them?
Training; I want to improve training and awareness among Deputies for effective handling while implementing de-escalation tactics.
Community Trust and Accountability with Peace Officers; Peace officers should promote a culture of accountability within the law enforcement community and improve rapport and trust with the community through forums and open communication.
Domestic Violence; I desire to establish a domestic violence division to bring advocates across Harris County together to end DV.
How do you plan to engage with the community to build partnerships and address local concerns related to public safety?
As a longtime Harris County resident, I believe in the power of strong community partnerships.
I want to continue strengthening the relationships between the community and law enforcement by being active and present in the community, hosting events geared towards all community members, and bringing back the trust and accountability of peace officers.
As a dedicated community advocate, I will actively work to address local issues, improve safety, and enhance the quality of life for all residents
