Grafton Schools Facilities referendum Choose 1

The following question will be on the April 2nd ballot“Shall the School District of Grafton, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin be authorized to issue pursuant to Chapter 67 of the WisconsinStatutes, general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $11,140,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of the construction of an addition, renovations, building infrastructure and site improvements at John Long Middle School, including acquisition of furnishings, fixtures and equipment?”Tax Impact: The school portion of tax bills will remain stable.  The district currently has a levy for paying down future debt and strategically maximizing state aid to keep the property tax levy as low as possible.  This levy for future debt payments can be reduced to accommodate the new debt.  The new debt issue will be for a ten year period, at which time both the new debt and the previous referendum debt will be retired.  The 2034 retirement date is four years earlier than originally scheduled when the 2017 referendum was passed.for more information copy and paste this URLhttps://www.grafton.k12.wi.us/district/referendum-2024.cfm
