What qualifies you for this position?

Growing up in Onalaska and now raising a family in this great city, gives me a unique perspective and one that will keep our city’s best interests in mind. Work ethic is something that Onalaska instilled in me at a young age and that will be no different in this role. Putting in the time and research and being dedicated to serving our city is what I will bring to the table.

To be a great Alderperson you need to have knowledge of your city, and offer great communication and leadership skills. I am committed to being engaged with District 1 and will be there to listen to your questions and concerns. At the end of the day, I want to make sure that you are heard.

As someone who is invested in the long-term goals of our community and the development of our youth, I can guarantee that I am the right choice for your next District One Alderperson.

What are the top three priorities that you see for your town?

Continually supporting our community youth programs and supporting the proposed local Community Center project. Continued focus on public safety and supporting our law enforcement, firefighters and EMT’s.

Promoting our community and those members that want to positively contribute through businesses, arts or anything enriching to Onalaska.

How will you work to meet those top three priorities?

To help support and focus on the different demographics in our city, I will be there to support those programs that enrich the lives of all our community members.

Growing up, I never felt unsafe in our city, and I am committed to making sure that remains. You can count on my continued support for our local heroes and be someone where you can bring concerns to the table.

Supporting our community members is another top priority. I have seen some on our Common Council that have put their priorities in front of what I consider common sense. I am here to be your champion and promote your ideas.

What qualifies you for this position?

I’ve served as Onalaska’s District 1 Alderperson since April 2022 after earning my accounting degree from Viterbo University. I also have extensive experience in municipal government through my role as Chair of the Finance and Personnel committee which is primarily responsible for reviewing and approving the city’s annual budget. In addition, I’ve maintained a balanced approach between community needs and budgetary constraints while on Onalaska’s Common Council. I also cultivate opportunities for economic growth and cultural development in my Planning committee role.

What are the top three priorities that you see for your town?

The first priority is to maintain our balanced budget between what Onalaska City Hall receives as income and disburses as expenditures. The second priority is to be a member of the Common Council team which will help our employees to be appreciated and fairly compensated. The third priority is to work with management to provide a safe and thriving community for our residents to live in and raise their families.

How will you work to meet those top three priorities?

I will continue attending a majority of the committee meetings even if I’m not a voting member. This allows me to have a clear understanding of what’s occurring as items are brought before Common Council for approval. I’ll also continue to participate in resident member groups in the city to keep a pulse on what our community needs. In addition, I’ll continue to work with management so I’m aware of project progress and possible roadblocks. Since I’ve been an Alderperson my motto has been, “Do what’s best for the City of Onalaska as a whole.”
