District 4 Delegates to the Republican National Convention Choose 3
DUTIES:Convention delegates elected in the Primary are part of the state delegations that officially select their party’s presidential candidate at the party’s national conventions. Presidential nominees are not elected directly by the voters in the Primary. Rather, voters in each state choose delegates to represent them at the national conventions.HOW ELECTED: Republican party ballots list the candidates for delegates to the Republican National Convention and the name of the presidential candidate each one supports. Republican voters in each of Maryland’s eight (8) Congressional Districts will elect three (3) delegates and three (3) alternates. The presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes in each district will receive the votes of all three (3) of that district’s delegates. Each voter may vote for up to three (3) candidates for delegate and three (3) candidates for alternate from his/her Congressional District.

QUALIFICATIONS: How does your experience prepare you for the duties of a convention delegate?
I am a Veteran and a member of the Prince Georges County Republican Central Committee with an extensive community service background in the area of mental illness and suicide, education, Veterans including National Guard, active duty, Reserves, and Veteran Reserves; seniors, youth, food, the disabled, supporting the family, as well as working with area churches and more. This has prepared me for the duties of a convention delegate for outreach and knowing area constituents and their needs.
SELECTION CRITERIA: What factors were most important in deciding to pledge your support to this candidate?
My deepest concern is the State of America which includes the wide-open border, the state of our economy, homelessness, our Veterans, jobs, crime, businesses closing, weakening of the police, Veterans' Benefits, education, parents' rights, our elderly, our poor, drugs and more. Trump speaks so strongly on these issues which I believe for I know he will make a difference bringing prosperity, prestige, and respectability back to America by closing our wide-open border and starting up the pipeline.

I am an active member of the Montgomery County Republican Party (MCGOP). As a MCGOP committee member, I keep abreast of current political, economic, and security issues that can impact our community. I am concerned about the well-being of our community and Nation. Staying informed and reaching out to the community to offer my assistance is a priority. The outcome of our elections determines a fair and prosperous Nation for all.
