I believe that the most important issue facing the City of Eau Claire is Affordable Housing. The challenge facing the city is the issue of housing, Both the cost of rent and a house have increased more the the household salary The way I would address this is to look for housing alternatives. Exp: tiny homes, and community involvement just for starters. To Update this I still affordable housing is a issue in our City. Now we have new closer in Eau Claire that goes after my other 2 issues. We now in Eau Claire are dealing with unemployment and healthcare crisis. This on many tells you how Eau Claire is unhealthy.

The second most important issue facing the City of Eau Claire is employment/new business. I will focus on promoting new businesses with tax incentives that make sense to the community and the business. Also, work with the educational entities in the Eau Claire area to promote new start-up business

The third most important issue facing the city of Eau Claire is the disconnection between the City Council and the residents of Eau Claire. The lack of understanding of real-life situations and how to address these, has been an ongoing issue in Eau Claire. We need to take a closer look at what has been done and what is not working and get rid of it or fix it. We need to hear all voices of Eau Claire. As a woman there have been plenty of times my voice was not heard or dismissed. One of the things I will do in my district is to hold community meetings monthly to allow all people to have a conversation of what is their most important issues facing them and work toward solutions with them on an individual basis and promote an environment of empowerment by creating an inclusive environment.

I have to honest with , I have tried to read through the Budget and was totally lost.. What I can tell you is one if I am in office I would ask lots of questions. I also can tell you how I feel about the spending, it lacks common sense. accountability and recklessness to the spending of hard working people that pay their taxes to live in this wonderful city. I look at what the city has done and I see a lot of want spending and putting need spending on the back burner. Then when they need to address these things they come up with wheel tax. I want you know is I will have a account go thru any budget I would say yes or no too. I have a say I know what I don't know what I don't and then you get someone who does.. I know this does not address the question exactly and I am sorry.
