What are your top priorities and how will you address them?

Personal freedom for women to make reproductive health care decisions free from government interference. Personal freedom for each person to present themselves to the world as they choose free from government inference. Adequate funding for Public Schools and eliminate the transfer of Public Schools monies to other entities. Restoring Lake Erie to a healthy state free of algal blooms and other symptoms of distress caused by man-made activity. Enhance gun safety laws. I will address each of my priorities by forcefully advocating for them in whichever venue is appropriate to do so and voting for bills and resolutions that will further those priorities.

What changes do you support or oppose to voting and elections policy?

We should be doing more to make voting more convenient and rescind policies and rules that restrict voting. Increase the number and locations of drop boxes for early voting. Expand in person early voting. Allow college IDs to be used as voter identification.

How should government bring economic and job opportunities to Ohio?

By dramatically increasing spending on education including skilled trades and infrastructure. The State should be investing in a well-educated workforce which could attract businesses to Ohio. By creating a welcoming, tolerant climate free of government overreach into the lives of Ohioans.

What are your aspirations for K-12 and higher education?

We need to invest more money in K-12 public schools, not syphon away funds to provide vouchers, whose only intent is the destruction of the Public Educational system in our state. Ohio should allocate much more funding to reduce tuition to make college more affordable and not have students mired in debt when they graduate.

Under what circumstances should the state support or check local government?

The State could support local communities by restoring the local government fund allocation. The State could be doing so much more to provide economic aid to our cities. Only in extreme cases should the State check local government.

State your position on healthcare policy.

Health care should not be regarded as a product to be sold like hamburgers. Accessible, affordable health care must be viewed as necessary and available to every American. The country as a whole is much better off with a healthy population.

State your position on environmental policy and natural resource management?

We should use objective science-based policies when addressing environmental policy. I believe we should be wise stewards of our nature assets and refrain from viewing our natural resources as something to be exploited for short term economic benefits.

What role, if any, should government take to ensure no person is discriminated against?

Beyond what it has already done to protect women, persons of color and other minorities from discrimination, I’m not certain what else it can do. At a certain point, each individual must respect others regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, physical makeup, or their heritage.
