Qualifications: What training, experience and characteristics qualify you for this position?
I was raised in our community and worked in the Capitol for eight years. My colleagues honored me with the Freshman of the Year award because of my work ethic and commitment to our community.
Immigration: What is the best use of state funds and resources to address immigration in our border communities?
State funds and resources should go towards strengthening border security. By investing in security measures, we can prevent the billions of dollars in recurring costs associated with illegal immigration.
Reproduction: What laws , if any, should the legislature pass to change Texans’ current access to abortion, contraception, and/or IVF?
I want to continue to increase funding for expecting and new mothers and babies so that they have access to quality healthcare as well as continue to work to end maternal mortality. IVF is legal in Texas and should remain that way.
Gun Safety: What steps should be taken to curb gun violence in our communities?
Increasing police and access to mental health will help to prevent gun violence. Additionally, we must take firm action to keep firearms out of the hands of gangs and criminals.

Immigration: What is the best use of state funds and resources to address immigration in our border communities?
The federal government, not the states, is responsible for overseeing our nation’s border. Urging federal lawmakers to enact crucial immigration reforms is essential. I’ll work with leaders at all levels for a comprehensive, compassionate solution, advocating for safe pathways to citizenship that ensure Texas’s security and continued commerce while fighting against inhumane enforcement practices.
Reproduction: What laws , if any, should the legislature pass to change Texans’ current access to abortion, contraception, and/or IVF?
I oppose Texas' restrictive abortion ban, which harms women and worsens provider shortages. I support policies that expand healthcare access, reduce uninsured rates, address provider shortages, and improve maternal care for better health outcomes. I will advocate for laws that protect a woman’s right to access healthcare and make personal decisions about family planning.
Gun Safety: What steps should be taken to curb gun violence in our communities?
As a parent, I’m deeply concerned about gun safety, as firearm-related incidents are the leading cause of death among children. Addressing gun violence requires comprehensive, data-driven approaches focused on public health, safety, and prevention. We must reduce gun violence while protecting Texans and respecting Second Amendment rights. I support common-sense solutions like background checks.
