Why are you the best candidate for this position? (750 characters)

I am running for re-election to continue building on my strong record of community involvement, practical problem-solving, and fiscal responsibility. Over the past four years, I’ve worked collaboratively with residents, local businesses, and civic groups to address immediate concerns while planning for long-term success. I listen first, seek common ground, and make balanced decisions that protect our community’s values. I remain dedicated to using taxpayer dollars wisely, strengthening essential services, and ensuring every resident’s voice is heard. My focus is on results, not politics—delivering solutions that improve quality of life for everyone in Saint Peter.

If elected, what will your top three priorities be and why? (500 characters)

My top three priorities are: 1) Expanding housing and economic opportunities to keep our community vibrant and affordable. These priorities reflect the issues I hear most often from residents and are essential to our city’s long-term success 2) Supporting responsible growth and infrastructure investment that prepares us for the future while respecting taxpayers. 3) Strengthening public safety to ensure our neighborhoods remain safe and welcoming.

How do you plan to engage with and represent all members of our diverse community?(500 characters)

I will maintain open lines of communication by attending neighborhood meetings, and being accessible by phone, email, and social media. I believe every resident deserves to be heard, and I will actively seek input from groups who may feel underrepresented. By building relationships across all parts of our community, I can make informed decisions that reflect our city’s full diversity and ensure everyone has a seat at the table.

What steps will you take to ensure transparency and accountability in city government? (500 characters)

Transparency builds trust. I will advocate for clear, accessible communication of city decisions, budgets, and projects. I will work to strengthen citizen access to information through public forums, online updates, and regular reporting. Accountability means being answerable to the public, so I will be open about my votes and reasoning, and I will welcome constructive feedback. Residents should always know how and why decisions are made on their behalf.
