I have been an active member of the Arbor Vitae Town Board. I have tried to be an approachable member, understand the issues that we vote on and follow through to those who have reached out to me. A strong work ethic has me volunteering for other roles as a board member which helps me understand the area and the facilities of which we are responsible for. Chair person for broadband expansion and newly appointed one of airport commissioners.

There are a few things that face our town. One of the largest concerns is ambulance services. Having those services readily accessible is very important to all of us who reside here. The next issue is always our roads and making sure the ability to keep them in good repair and in the road maintenance program. Our town crew does a great job with keeping the town in great working order. One of the other projects we have going and I am the current chair for is the broadband update for Arbor Vitae. That has been a slow process but laying the infrastructure for the broadband is underway and our residents will hopefully see the change in their services. Completion year is 2026. The last thing that I have been working on is a fishing pier for all and that is handicap accessible. Dedicated to our Veterans. This was an idea of a local businessman and I have been trying to accomplish with DNR grants. Keeping our town safe with services and good roads while keeping low to no tax changes.

Keeping our ambulance service updated and ready. The Arbor Fire Department keeps our town and surrounding towns safe with a base of volunteers! Providing them the tools to do their jobs is important part of our budget process. We, Arbor Vitae Town, house the area’s municipal airport. That differentiates us a little from the other towns who participate in the operation of the airport. Arbor Vitae prides itself on this airport. Having the town care for our parks is important too. The parks commission does a great job! I would like a to see our town start to look at a better housing plan for long term rentals.

Communication is done for the most part face to face or a call away. We problem solve the best we are able within ordinance and guidelines to help if there is an issue. I have helped with everything from beaver dam issues to helping our local youth and fire department collect coats. I am in this position because of the people who vote for me to be there. I always try and work through issues as they arise, keep apprised of changes to statute and dollars that may be available to us to help continue to serve our town. I love living, working and serving my town.
