What do you see as the top issue facing county businesses in recruiting and retaining staff, and how do you believe it should be rectified?
The problem is a shortage of people available to fill the positions, and they’re good positions, but not enough people to take them.
I plan to continue the good work the County is already doing, supporting the towns and villages, county roads, Sheriff’s Department, and our natural resources for our beautiful county.
Should county government take an active role in sustaining and growing tourism, and, if so, what initiatives can the County take?
Yes. I think the County can and should support Visit Sheboygan and the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce.
Discuss your experience and how it qualifies you for the position you seek.
My volunteer positions, throughout the community, and being an alder for many years have prepared me for this role again. I have lived in our house on Logan Ave with my husband of 62 years since 1965. We raised our children in Sheboygan and sent them to public schools in Sheboygan.
Why are you running for office?
We need someone to represent our district and I think I can do that job.
Cite major goals you want to accomplish if elected and how you plan to achieve those goals.
Continue the good work that the County has done for decades.
