How will you assist in bringing affordable housing development to the community?
By working with developers, and using various resources for funding as we are doing for the Gartman farm development. For that development we are working with the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation and are working with the developers to provide a variety of housing. Those include apartments, duplexes, single family with a mix of affordable housing available. The goal is to attract a strong workforce to meet the needs of various employers in our area.

How will you assist with recruiting and maintaining talent in the community?
The best ways to attract and retain talent is to have adequate housing available in a variety of types and amenities. The need for both apartments and owner occupied houses is key to bringing in talent to our area.We also need to be able to offer a variety of entertainment and restaurant options to choose from in order to attract workers to Sheboygan. In working with city staff we must identify options and work to recruit people and amenities that will enhance this already great city
