County Board Supervisors are elected in our nonpartisan elections held during the spring election season and serve 2 year terms. Relevant Experience Town of Lima-Supervisor for the past 3 years, Hingham Cemetery Association-Director for 7 years, Vice President for 4 years, President-Current Year, Waldo Fire Volunteer Department-23 years, Captain for 12 years, Construction Superintendent for 15 years, Retired Journeyman Carpenter-for 27 years

What do you see as the top issue facing county businesses in recruiting and retaining staff, and how do you believe it should be rectified?

I believe the top issue facing county businesses in recruiting and retaining employees is the lack of affordable housing in the county. To address this issue, developers should be encouraged to build smaller homes on smaller lots.

Should county government take an active role in sustaining and growing tourism, and, if so, what initiatives can the County take?

I believe County government should take an active role in sustaining and growing tourism, promoting our natural assets, the lakes, Kettle Moraine Forest and the Sheboygan Marsh. By continuing to support the current tourism opportunities such as the improvements at the Sheboygan County Marsh.

Discuss your experience and how it qualifies you for the position you seek.

My involvement in the community has provided me with knowledge and skills to address the needs of the community. As a volunteer fireman, I have had experience helping others in their time of need, I have learned communication skills in working with community partners and law enforcement. From my leadership roles, I developed the knowledge of government processes and roles of various government entities.

Why are you running for office?

I have chosen to run for office to fill the Supervisor open position as the past supervisor has not chosen to run again. I feel that being involved in government is very important to understand and contribute to improving the County issues.

Cite major goals you want to accomplish if elected and how you plan to achieve those goals.

My goals are to be involved in developing solutions to issues, using monetary fund's wisely and encourage others to become involved at different levels of government. I plan to communicate with constituents to become involved in their local government.
