The state is divided into 99 House districts from each of which one representative is elected. Each district is comprised of approximately 64,102 residents.

Why did you decide to run for this office?

I want to use my knowledge, experience, and compassion to find and create solutions that benefit our communities. Our neighbors’ quality of life is diminishing. Every hardworking family in Tennessee deserves to have the tools they need to live a good live. We need to prioritize public safety. Healthcare is becoming increasingly unaffordable and inaccessible, making it difficult for many families to access it. Republicans continue to block federal resources from entering our state to make families healthier. The lack of investment in Education. Affordable Housing. Tennessee is 1 of 12 states without a viable medical cannabis program. Let's face it: our neighbors deserve better, and that's why I'm running for TN House Seat 27.

What do you see as the most significant issue that will face you if you are elected to this office?

Healthcare: We must prioritize the health and well-being of our citizens. Every Tennessean should have the right to make private healthcare decisions, especially regarding reproductive health, without interference from the government. All Tennesseans deserve access to the full spectrum of reproductive care. Tennesseans deserve the freedom to maintain privacy in their healthcare decisions. Healthcare is becoming increasingly unaffordable and inaccessible, making it difficult for many families to access it. Every family should be able to go to a Dr when needed. Republicans continue to block federal resources from entering our state to make families healthier.

What existing legislation do you support and what additional legislation (if any) would you propose to protect our children from gun violence in school, and why?

Communities flourish when everyone feels secure and valued. I am a strong supporter of the ERPO law and promoting proper gun safety/storage. By enacting these changes, we are creating a safer future for our children. According to a 2023 report from the Tennessee Department of Health, firearms are the leading cause of death for children in Tennessee, with 1 in 4 child deaths tied to guns. We need to support common-sense gun laws that prioritize public safety while respecting the Second Amendment rights of responsible gun owners. I support repealing the 2013 law that allows any legal gun owner to store loaded guns in their vehicles and the respectful discussion regarding firearm safety. This is an emotional topic that must be discussed.
