What are your top priorities?
My top priorities include making sure all court patrons are given the same equal access to justice in a timely manner, that all any business coming into our office is handled correctly and in accordance with the NDCC.
What experience or skills would you bring to this role?
I have 14 years experience in county government- all being in the Recorder and Clerks offices. I am a
Certified Court Manager through the National Center of State Courts. I am also extremely involved in various boards in both the Court and Recorders Associations and extremely involved in my community.
How would you ensure that the records maintained by the county are open, accessible, useful, and meaningful to the public?
Record retention is extremely important to me, as it can have a significant impact on someone’s life. While almost all of the records in our office are public, some are not. I’m well versed on the North Dakota Century Code and Administrative Rules that set forth these guidelines.
