Experience and qualifications
I am an ordinary 7th generation Hoosier, a small business person, a former teacher, and a scientist. I believe that Hoosiers deserve better representation in Washington D.C. While teaching high school science, I earned a fellowship to Washington D.C. to gain experience with policy and how it shapes our lives. I served on Capitol Hill and am bringing back the policy knowledge and experience I gained to put into action in Indiana. I have built knowledge in science, business, and education policy to complement my experiences as a biologist, anthropologist, classroom teacher, and small-business person. This gives me a foundation on which to build good policy and put Hoosier lives back as a priority.
