The Gloucester County Board of Commissioners consists of seven members who are elected to three year staggered terms with either two or three seats coming up for election each year in a three-year cycle. The Commissioners have executive and legislative responsibilities governing the County. One of the largest responsibilities of the Commissioners is the adoption of the annual fiscal budget for all County agencies and services and Gloucester County’s 24 municipalities. Commissioners oversee areas such as law enforcement, education, transportation/roads, waste management, etc.
