Why do you want to be an Ozaukee County Board Supervisor, and what
qualifications and experience make you the best candidate?
With a Master's in Public Health and extensive experience as a physician who specializes in geriatrics, I feel compelled to utilize my skills to serve my community to address the needs of an aging population: housing, caregiver burden, a rise in dementia.
I stand for justice, equal opportunities, and preserving our beautiful city for future generations. My approach is holistic, focusing not only on immediate needs but also on maintaining our environment and financing long-term projects that benefit all in a fiscally responsible manner.
Inflation is a reality that affects each one of us, touching every aspect of our daily lives. I am committed to addressing economic challenges, including inflation, with innovative solutions that balance growth with sustainability.
“We must come to see that the end we seek is a society at peace with itself, a society that can live with its conscience’ Martin Luther King 1958.
What are the most important issues facing Ozaukee County and how will you address them?
Ozaukee county is projected to see an increase in older adults (age 65 years and older) when compared to Milwaukee county(age 65 years and older 15% to 26% in Ozaukee while 12 to 17% in Milwaukee county from 2010 to 2040). The fastest growing population in our county is that of the oldest old 85 years and older from 2 to 6% in Ozaukee (while Milwaukee county will increase from 2 to 3%). In Ozaukee county those 65 years and older living with dementia will double from 1,588 to 3,715 (while Milwaukee county will increase from 14,154 to 23,251).
Our county board would benefit greatly from having a geriatrics specialist on board.
