What should our state government do to support access to affordable housing?

The state is doing some good things through grants to cities in need. Also private businesses are getting on board and revitalizing motels, apartments, and single family houses.

How do you view the initiative and referendum process in South Dakota? Are there any changes to this system that you would support?

No.

How will you protect voting rights while maintaining the security and integrity of our elections?

I think it is important to keep promoting voter I.d. when one votes. It is also imperative to have poll watchers to prevent any fraud.

What should our state government do to support access to affordable, quality childcare?

Childcare is not the state's responsibility. Instead, the businesses that employ many people should, perhaps, have on site child care available for employees' children.

What do you see as the most important challenges facing our state?

The population's age is increasing which is affecting accessibility to healthcare and to assisted living and nursing homes. Drug abuse and distracted driving are also two issues that I wish we did not have. Green energy CO2 gimmicks have caused consternation for many farmers and other citizens of the state.
