What should our state government do to support access to affordable housing?
Stop manipulating the housing market. Instead work to lower taxes and ensure an impartial market for all to allow the local economies to freely flourish.
How do you view the initiative and referendum process in South Dakota? Are there any changes to this system that you would support?
I think it is a solid process that ensures that something on the ballot has support all across the state. No reforms are forefront in mind.
How will you protect voting rights while maintaining the security and integrity of our elections?
I believe in requiring an ID to vote. South Dakota has registration deadlines. Getting counties aid in updating the voter rolls, to ensure the information is correct, and any deceased or no longer SD residents are removed.
I also believe we need to help our counties get the proper technical equipment to be able to properly audit elections in which tabulation machines are used. If the counties do so choose they must retain the ability to decide to hand count, as provided in South Dakota law. Adhering to proper chain of custody laws provides a system of excellence in our elections.
What should our state government do to support access to affordable, quality childcare?
Candidate has not yet responded.
What do you see as the most important challenges facing our state?
Protecting land owner rights, protecting local governments ability to govern, lowering taxes, stand firm on the protection of 2A, protect the life of the unborn.
