What is the greatest need/challenge facing the township and how would you address it?

One of the greatest needs in our township is rental assistance. I am very proud of the Washington Township staff and the way they work to meet the needs of the people in our township. Along with using township funds for emergency assistance, we have been able to partner with different nonprofits as well as utilize other government programs to source funds for the people we serve. I will continue to push for new and innovative ways to pull in more services for the people of Washington Township.

What do you see, or would you like to see, regarding the future of the township? What steps would you take in pursuit of that vision?

Our Washington Township Trustee's Office runs very efficiently, and our staff works diligently, budgeting and planning-- in order to make the most of a small budget. I would love to see more members of the public represented at our board meetings, so that we could hear directly from community members about what services they need and how we can better serve them.

What should the Township Board’s role be in supporting the local economy?

It's important that we keep tax rates low and the quality of the services we provide high. Our goal is to be one of the reasons that Washington Township is a great place to move to and a great place to live.
