1. Ensuring our expanding career & technical education program meets the needs of all students. We must ensure students have access to an education that prepares them for the skilled trades, the arts, college, or any other area to support their endeavors.

2. Advocating for a better funding system. Our growing district is unfairly penalized by the current finance formula, putting a disproportionate share of funding on homeowners in the form of property taxes when compared to other districts. We need to work closer with our state legislature for a funding formula that relieves homeowners of this burden without taking resources away from our schools.

3. I've heard many complaints about sidewalks and crosswalks throughout the district. This is a safety issue that needs addressed and will take collaboration with the city's of Spring Hill and Olathe.

I have a degree in math and a career in industrial automation that makes me passionate about STEM and career & technical education. I have thirteen years of experience working with utilities, municipalities, engineering firms, and contractors on infrastructure projects. My experience ranges from bidding large projects to technical evaluations to project execution. I believe this experience will be an asset to the district as we start construction related to our recent bond issuance. I actively follow the activities of our own district, neighboring districts, and our state legislature as it pertains to education to stay up to date on current events that can affect the future of our schools.

Serve and advocate. We should serve our students by always considering what is in their best interests when making decisions. We must advocate for our schools and our teachers. This is crucial to ensure educators feel valued and supported in their mission to teach our students. A strong public education system, rooted in respect, empowers both teachers and students to thrive in a nurturing, effective learning environment.

Fiscal responsibility. As a board member I have been trying to make sure we are spending the money in a most effective way and not wasting tax payer funds. Expanding learning opportunities. At the high school level we need to make sure our CTE programs are what the students want and what will help give our students the best educational experience and knowledge to translate to the real world. Teacher support and training. I believe to have the world class staff our teachers need as much support and educational opportunities as we as a district can provide.

I have served for 4 years and have learned a lot about how the education and district operate. I do have have experience with budgeting. Going into the next four years with the bond I believe my professional experience as a general contractor will be a great advantage with the bond construction.

I believe the success of the students is the main focus. With the distractions outside of school and the world we live in I believe consistency in our buildings are key. I believe keeping our schools a welcoming place that our students know what to expect when they show up is the best thing that can be done. I think that the person in this position has to way the financial resources against what is best for the district as a whole.
