Personal Biography
Josepha Haden Chomphosy is the incumbent representative for Mission Ward 1 and currently serves as the Council Liaison to the Sustainability Commission. Born and raised in northwest Arkansas, Josepha is a proud alumna of William Jewell College. After completing her education, she decided to make Kansas City her home, drawn to its vibrant community and opportunities for growth.

Improved streets and infrastructure, better housing opportunities at all financial levels, and encouraging thriving local businesses.

The bulk of my career has focused on building sustainable communities, which is well-aligned with the long-term vision of Mission.
What makes this office an important part of the local government?
This office not only provides a check and balance with the city staff, it also serves as a way to keep information moving between the people who manage the city and those of us who live here.
