I believe it’s vital that we prioritize upgrading our existing infrastructure. Our utilities, streets, and public services must be strong enough to support this growth before we take on additional projects.
At the same time, I believe a more conservative spending plan is needed. Families are already facing the pressures of high inflation, rising costs, and stretched household budgets. The city must be mindful of this reality and avoid placing unnecessary financial burdens on our citizens.
Finally, as Derby grows, so do the challenges that come with a larger community. That’s why I support expanding outreach programs that provide resources and guidance. With the right support, individuals can be better equipped to overcome challenges.
