Personal Biography
A third-generation Valley Center resident, Amy Reid is proud to call this community home. She raised her three children in the Valley Center school system and is a graduate of both Newman University and Wichita State University. A dedicated Registered Nurse, Amy volunteers with the Sedgwick County Medical Reserve Corps to help keep our community safe and healthy. She is the founder and former president of a patient advocacy nonprofit and has served as a lobbyist in Topeka, fighting to protect p

Government transparency, Improved communication between government and community, and support of small businesses
What skills, expertise, experience, or competencies qualify you for this position?
I am the founder and past president of patient advocacy non-profit organization where I worked as a lobbyist with Kansas state legislators to improve healthcare access to our most vulnerable patient populations.
What makes this office an important part of the local government?
Valley Center has grown tremendously since my family settled down here three generations ago. I look forward to supporting our future generations as we continue to grow our community!
