Working 2 decades on the frontlines of Kansas media: TV, Radio, Podcast and my own publication; travelling the state, meeting with Kansans, learning about their daily lives and concerns. I study/research diverse aspects of communities from history to current events, interviewing leaders, politicians and community members. With a broad understanding of Kansas’ economic, political, governmental, environmental issues, I apply expertise, experience and education of the economy, political science, international relations, financial markets and travel/tourism industry to my publication, and community work. Addressing these issues can only be done by having conversations with the people of District 81, knowing their concerns, what affects them and being their voice to enact legislation that will provide:

Legislative Process Transparency- Bring clarity to laws, rules and regulations. Bills published ahead of committee discussions, enabling people to participate and express their opinions freely Property Taxes/Education- School districts want more money through Property taxes without results in students’ education. Public/private education reform to make Kansas students the best in the world Lower Health Care Cost and Health Care Availability-Hospitals and clinics have closed. Many health care costs are too expensive, making them inaccessible

Promote legislation to make social media organizations and other mass news media include links of current local bills on their sites. Ensure that all legislators include current bills on their web pages

The “Gut and Go” process is something that I would consider should be against the law. No law should be passed without a proper public hearing and committee discussions. Processes do not have to be lengthy but should include the people the laws will affect. I would like to see legislation that stops bundling bills. In other words, legislation that prohibits unrelated items being put together on a bill. When legislators bring last-minute unrelated items to an already approved proposal, it is not for the benefit of the public

Generally, not, however all depends on what specifics we are referencing. Kansas Election laws cover a variety of topics. In 2025 there were about 9 pages of new or amended different election laws. So those things are already happening in Kansas, but due to the lack of transparency most voters are in the dark. So, we know that changes are already happening, my answer here is I would have to see and analyze any further proposals to say if I do or do not support changes to a specific election law.

My greatest qualification is my ability to connect with people. I’ve never met a stranger, and I genuinely enjoy listening to people from every background, neighborhood, and political party. My family and closest friends are organically diverse, giving me perspectives that can’t be learned from a textbook. Throughout this campaign, I’ve spent countless hours listening to Republicans, Democrats, Independents, veterans, teachers, parents, seniors, and young people because everyone deserves to be heard. Leadership begins with listening, and I believe the best solutions come from bringing people together; not dividing them

Kansas’s three most important issues are public education, affordability, and access to healthcare. We must fully fund public education, including special education, so every child has the opportunity to succeed while reducing the pressure on local property taxes. We need to make Kansas more affordable by lowering the property tax burden, supporting working families, and investing in infrastructure and economic opportunity. Finally, we must improve access to healthcare by strengthening rural healthcare, expanding access to providers, supporting mental health services, and ensuring families can receive the care they need close to home. My approach is to listen to Kansans, work across party lines, and pursue practical, evidence based solution

Kansans deserve a legislative process that is transparent and easy to follow. I support improving the Legislature’s website with plain-language bill summaries, timely updates when bills are amended or scheduled for hearings, and optional email or text alerts so citizens can track issues they care about. I also believe the “Gut and Go” process should be used only in rare circumstances. Replacing the contents of a bill at the last minute reduces transparency and limits meaningful public input. Major policy changes deserve public notice, committee review, and adequate time for legislators and Kansans to read and understand them before a vote.

I support making voting accessible, secure, and convenient for every eligible Kansan. Every voter should have the opportunity to cast a ballot by mail, at an advance voting location, or in person on Election Day. I do not support unnecessary barriers that make it harder for eligible citizens to vote without improving election security. Kansas already has safeguards in place, and any changes to election laws should expand access, strengthen public confidence, and protect every eligible citizen’s right to vote.
