How would you make it easier for Kansas citizens to follow bills as they flow through the legislature? What, if any, changes would you propose in the “Gut and Go” process?

Increasing contact with voters is important and can be done in a number of ways. Email, newsletters, local newspapers and in-person Q&A meetings (town halls) can all be used. When talking with voters, I find that most have not seen or talked to their representatives and don't know who they are, more contact is needed to change this. On the topic of "Gut & Go", this is a difficult topic because it is a double edged sword. It can be used for good or bad legislation and is tied directly to the ideology of the legislator. In our current climate, I am inclined to do away with "Gut & Go", but it is a tool that can and has been used for passing good legislation that the majority party would not support. .

Would you support changes to Kansas election laws and voting systems? Why?

I would support making voting more accessible and easier for registered voters.
