Lynnette is a retired special education teacher and current substitute.She has been involved in various non-profit and faith organizations. This advocacy experience proves to be a great asset to her as a leader. "I believe the role of Representative is listen to voters, research and work with others to create legislation that meets the needs of 104.

What makes you the best candidate for this position? What skills, expertise, or competencies qualify you?
I ran for House District 104 in 2024, knocking on over 6000 houses. That same committment to getout, listen, learn what is important to voters and have conversations will continue with the 2026 campaign. As
What are Kansas's three most important issues, and how do you intend to address them?
Affordability: We are being tol to work more, pay more and accept less. No more. This includes purposefully addressing tax reform, liveable wage including raising minimum wage, health care and housing.
Accountability: When the current Republican leadership encouraged a 4.4% raise for legislatures and state workers 1%, I will always vote for the workers before voting for myself. Castinf votes for what best serves the voters of my communiy and KS.
Public Schools: Fully funding special education which serves public, private and home school students is critical. Moving forward in continuing to adequately fund public schools. Public schools are the heart of our community.
How would you make it easier for Kansas citizens to follow bills as they flow through the legislature? What, if any, changes would you propose in the “Gut and Go” process?
Communicating frequently through social media the bills that are in progress and up for committee and House votes during the session. Mailers that reach voters before the end of the session. Remaining visible and accessble as I am commited to during my campaign is being accountable to the voters.
Gut and Go is a tool that causes confusion and chaos as I have experienced in the many years I have followed the legislature. Gut and Go does not provide for thoughtful discussion and time for the voters to be asked how a bill could affect them.
Would you support changes to Kansas election laws and voting systems? Why?
Current Republican Supermajority have limited mail in ballots. My district has an aging population and numerous retirement communities. These voters rely on the mail to be able to vote and their right to vote. Data shows that 6 people in the past decade have been prosecuted for voter fraud. This is not an problem rampent in Kansas and mail in ballots, limiting voting locations needs to be stopped. Voting is a civil right.
