Personal Biography I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, in a conservative household where I learned the values of faith, hard work, personal responsibility, and serving others. I graduated from Northwest High School and later attended Cowley County Community College. For nearly 20 years, I've worked in aviation manufacturing, repair, and quality control. Aviation has been a huge part of my life, and I'm proud to be part of an industry that has helped build Wichita and provide opportunities for so many Kansas
Community/Public Service I am the co-founder and President of Project Heaven, a Wichita-based nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children and advocating for meaningful improvements to Kansas' child welfare and criminal justice systems. Through Project Heaven, I have worked alongside legislators, community leaders, and families to support legislation that strengthens protections for vulnerable children, improves foster care outcomes, and promotes accountability for those who harm children. My involvement includes providing testimony at the Kansas Statehouse, advocating for policy reforms, and working directly with stakeholders to ensure that the voices of children and families are heard.

What makes you the best candidate for this position? What skills, expertise, or competencies qualify you?

I believe I am the best candidate because I bring real-world experience, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to serving others. As a husband, father of six, and aviation professional with nearly 20 years of experience in manufacturing and quality control, I understand the challenges facing working families. Through my work with Project Heaven, I have advocated for vulnerable children and families and worked directly with lawmakers to advance meaningful reforms. I will bring practical problem-solving, integrity, and a commitment to listening to and representing the people of District 103.

What are Kansas's three most important issues, and how do you intend to address them?

We must improve child welfare by supporting foster families, reducing caseworker burdens, strengthening protections for vulnerable children, and holding violent offenders accountable.

We need meaningful property tax relief so seniors, working families, and homeowners can keep more of what they earn without being taxed out of their homes.

Kansas must continue to support job growth, workforce development, and industries like aviation while encouraging small business success. We need to create an environment where young people can build their future.

How would you make it easier for Kansas citizens to follow bills as they flow through the legislature? What, if any, changes would you propose in the “Gut and Go” process?

Kansas citizens should be able to easily understand and follow the legislation that affects their daily lives. I support improving the Legislature's website with plain-language bill summaries, clearer tracking tools, and optional email or text alerts that notify citizens when bills they are interested in move through the process.

Regarding the "Gut and Go" process, I believe it should be used only in limited circumstances when absolutely necessary. Significant amendments that substantially change a bill's original intent should receive adequate public notice and committee review before final action. Transparency builds trust, and Kansans deserve enough time to understand and weigh in on major legislative changes before they become law.

Would you support changes to Kansas election laws and voting systems? Why?

I support both maintaining election security measures and ensuring voting remains accessible and convenient for eligible Kansans. This includes transparency improvements, voter education, and evaluating election processes based on evidence rather than partisan considerations. I support voter ID requirements, regular voter roll maintenance, clear chain-of-custody procedures, and timely reporting of results while emphasizing public confidence in elections.
